Thuashni Selvaratnam was only 12 years and 324 days old when she won the Sri Lankan Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship in 1989.

On the 8th August 1972 Dick Kimbrough then 41 years of age carrying only a 3-iron, completed a round of golf in 30 minutes and 10 seconds at the North Platta Country Club Nebraska, the Course measures 6,068 yards.

The Longest hole in the world is the 860-yard 6th,at Koolan Island Golf Club Western Australia the hole is played as a par 7.

The longest Course in the world is the par 72 (!), 8,548-yard, Jade Dragon Golf Club in China. It plays 20% shorter because it is at an altitude of 10,000 ft. 
The "Record" tees are 3,003 yard's longer than the Ladies tees - so playing with the wife you'd never see her!
