Course Description:

Elm Park is almost located in the hearth of Dublin City being only three miles from the city centre. This magnificent Parkland course, originally designed by Alistair Mackenzie featuring all of the features attributed to the renowned course architect. This course features the maturity that can only be found on a course that has been in its present location since 1925. Mature trees and meandering streams are to be found everywhere interwoven with some challenging and memorable golf holes. The first is a tricky little Par 3 that tends to unnerve the visitor on club selection, miss the green and you are looking bogy in the face. The finishing hole at 335 metres requires astute club selection off the tee and has often destroyed many a promising card.

Paddy Merrigan, one of Irelands finest course architects completed redesigning all of the greens at Elm Park Golf Club making club selection a priority of every tee box. Paddy has carried out some spectacular course designs throughout Ireland, Tulfarris is in my view his masterpiece, and his contribution to Elm Park is in the same vain. The clubhouse is a magnificent Georgian building incorporating every facility the golfer can desire. Seamus Green the long serving professional of 22 years here maintains a superb shop and is always well worth a visit.
