Course Description:

Kilkea Castle Golf Club was founded in 1993 and was officially opened in 1997. It is an 18-hole Par 70 measuring 6,097 m with a standard scratch of 72 off the white tees and has been developed in a magnificent setting beneath the shadows of the 12th century castle. It allows the splendour of the castle to be viewed from every fairway. The course construction uses the River Griese as a natural hazard flowing through the grounds of the castle. You will encounter the river on almost every hole. Two lakes have been added which come into play on the closing holes adding to the overall challenge of this fine course.

The Castle is presently, owned by Dave Conway an Irish American who is quoted as saying "At first sight, I felt the place was ideal for tourism and I can’t think of a better way of exploiting its potential than through golf. My long-term plans include considerable further investment".Kilkea Castle has a state-of-the-art clubhouse catering for the golfers every need. There are ongoing plans to continue to improve and develop the course and facilities at Kilkea Castle, putting it up with Ireland premier golf clubs. Societies are welcome and group rates are available.
